A country sparkled with modern cities, quaint villages, breathtaking mountain scenery and charming culture, Austria should definitely be on your list for next travel destinations.

    Itinerary at a Glance

Arrival at Vienna International Airport, where your private driver will be waiting to take you to your hotel. Once settled, you have the day at leisure to relax after your long flight or walk the streets of the beautiful Austrian capital.

After breakfast, your guide will meet you for a private walking tour of the city. Start by visiting the colorful street market and attending the morning exercises of the Spanish Riding School to see the elegant Lipizzaner horses dance at the sound of the waltz.

Continue exploring past the Ringstrasse, with its magnificent buildings such as the Vienna State Opera House, the Votiv Church and Vienna's most beautiful Baroque church, St. Charles. Decide which sight you wish to include on your afternoon tour - Albertina Museum, the Schonbrunn Palace, the Imperial Apartments where Princess Sissi lived or the famous Augarten Porcelain factory and museum.

Enjoy a late breakfast and a day to explore the city on your own. Vienna has a world of museums and sights for you to choose from. You can visit the remaining options from the day before; with your 48-hour Museum Card you will have access to all public transportation and many options for a busy day of sightseeing.

After breakfast, leave Vienna and drive to the city of Melk. The Benedictine Abbey of Melk is situated on a rock overlooking the Danube and is a jewel of Austrian baroque architecture. After Melk, enjoy a scenic drive along the Danube to the Austrian city of Linz. Famous for its churches, museums and cultural activities, the city was home to Austria's famous composers: Wolfgang Mozart and Anton Bruckner.

In the late afternoon, you will be arriving in Salzburg.

Salzburg is a wold heritage sight city, filled with souvenirs and chocolate shops, baroque churches and museums. Enjoy the day exploring Salzburg's magnificent gardens, visiting the Birthplace of Mozart and the Mirabell Palace. For a true Sound of Music experience you can join a themed group tour of the city, to visit the famous locations of the movie as you sing-a-long its famous songs.

Today you continue your journey through Austria and drive to Innsbruck, the city of the Alps.

Once there, discover the beauty of the place with a cable-car ride up the mountains that will leave your breathless. Walk along the sunny alpine plateaus and wildly romantic villages and enjoy a delicious lunch with a view. In the afternoon it's time you explore the sights and attractions of the city, such as the Imperial Church, the medieval city tower, the Golden Roof and the Ambras Palace. All these places are a must for any visitor to Innsbruck.

    Neuschwanstein Castle

Our suggestion for today is to take a day trip to see the fairy-tale castles of Germany. After breakfast, drive to the grandiose Neuschwanstein Castle, inspired by legends and themes from the operas of Richard Wagner. The view from the castle courtyard is stunning. Continue with a visit to the castle of Hohenschwangau and the small town of Oberammergau before returning to Innsbruck.
